Corrientes-Chaco bridge concession transition

Overview

The interprovincial bridge connecting Corrientes and Chaco in Argentina is undergoing a transition in concession management for the Litoral section of the Federal Concession Network. This new 20-year term follows the expiration of the previous administration’s contract and involves a Temporary Business Union (UTE) composed of the firms JCR and Néstor Guerechet.

To facilitate the handover to the new operator, toll collection at the General Belgrano Bridge was temporarily suspended on October 6. A new tariff structure is being implemented progressively, with a focus on technological integration. The new scheme aims to reduce traffic delays by unifying the TelePASE platform with the Telepeaje Plus system, offering specific rates for electronic users to encourage automated payments.
