San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca aims to become first Smart Tourist Destination in Argentina’s Northwest
The municipality of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca held a two‑day “Catamarca, Destino Turístico Inteligente” seminar, bringing together local officials, private‑sector representatives and tourism experts such as Gonzalo La Rosa. The event advanced the city’s certification process to become the first Smart Tourist Destination (DTI) in the Northwest Argentine region, outlining actions across governance, innovation, technology, sustainability and accessibility.
In Chaco, the inaugural Feria de Turismo del Chaco in Resistencia gathered agencies, travel operators, artisans and municipal authorities to promote provincial tourism products, provide training, and showcase cultural and natural attractions ahead of the winter holidays.
