Chaco Province's 2026 Biennial Events Attract Over 1.7 Million Visitors
The Bienal del Chaco 2026, organized by the Instituto de Cultura del Chaco with support from the provincial government, private sector and the Fundación Urunday, reported attendance of more than 1.7 million people. Officials Mario Zorrilla and Daniela Valdez highlighted the event’s role as a driver of economic, tourism and cultural development for the region and praised the collaborative effort of municipalities, technical staff and public workers.
The Bienal del Impenetrable, held in Castelli, concluded its 2026 edition with 15 sculptures designated as cultural heritage of the town. The week‑long open‑air workshop featured artists from Argentina, Belarus, Bulgaria, Chile, Spain, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and invited participants, and was lauded by René Bertolucci, president of the Fundación Amigos del Arte y el Turismo, for its community involvement and lasting impact on local identity.
