Chad strengthens civil protection and disaster response capacities

The Chadian General Directorate of Civil Protection has conducted a five-day training program in N’Djaména to enhance capacities in disaster prevention, warning, and emergency management. Supported by France, the initiative focused on alert mechanisms, information management, and intervention coordination during crises.

The training included simulated flood scenarios to test coordination reflexes and practical responses. Led by a Malagasy expert, the session also served as a platform for exchanging experiences between Chad and Madagascar to improve local disaster response strategies.
