CHAEVI selected as operator and manufacturer for EV charging subsidy program

CHAEVI, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure operator, has been selected as both an operator and a manufacturer for the 2026 EV Charging Facility Subsidy Program. The program is organized by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment.

The company secured qualifications across four distinct categories: rapid/medium-speed charging facility operator, slow charging facility operator, rapid/medium-speed charging facility manufacturer, and slow charging facility manufacturer. This selection allows CHAEVI to participate in the government subsidy program through 2027.

Notably, CHAEVI has been selected as an operator for nine consecutive years. Under the Ministry’s newly restructured evaluation system, which separately assesses technical development capabilities and product quality for manufacturers, CHAEVI demonstrated its competitiveness by securing the newly established manufacturing roles. The company produces 12 different types of chargers ranging from 50kW to 350kW.

CHAEVI CEO Choi Young-hoon stated that the selection validates the company’s accumulated technical expertise and field operational capabilities, expressing intent to advance products and services for various charging environments in the public sector.
