Chalkidiki opens state aid applications for businesses hit by Sibiiri fire

The Regional Unit of Chalkidiki has opened applications for state aid to support businesses affected by the fire that occurred on August 13 in the Sibiiri area of the Kassandra Municipality.

Eligible recipients include industrial and technical units, commercial stores, agricultural holdings, and legal entities engaged in legitimate economic activities, including individual entrepreneurs and those in the fishing and aquaculture sectors. Non-profit organizations pursuing social or charitable purposes are also eligible.

Applications must be submitted by October 12, 2026. Submissions can be made via email, courier, or in person at the Civil Protection Department of the Chalkidiki Regional Unit. The aid is provided in accordance with Law 4797/2021, and applicants must consent to an inspection by the State Aid Committee to record and assess damages.
