Chancaní authorities seize 400kg of meat from illegal slaughtering
Authorities in Chancaní, Córdoba, seized 400 kilograms of beef and pork during operations targeting clandestine slaughtering activities. The inspections were conducted by the Ministry of Bioagroindustry, through the General Directorate of Inspection and Control, in coordination with the Northwest Rural Patrol.
Inspectors identified several irregularities, including slaughter areas that failed to meet minimum hygienic-sanitary conditions and lacked the necessary legal permits. In addition to the meat, officials confiscated equipment used in the illegal operations and closed cold storage facilities that were operating without authorization.
During the procedures, officials verified mandatory documentation required for product traceability, such as the Electronic Transit Certificate (CTE) and the Unique Transit Document (DT-e). The operations were carried out in accordance with provincial laws regarding meat industrialization, branding, and coexistence codes.
