Chandrababu Naidu to distribute house pattas in Vijayawada

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to distribute house regularisation pattas to 24,057 families in Vijayawada on September 30. This initiative, part of the Pedalaku Pattabhishekam programme, aims to provide full legal ownership rights to beneficiaries living on decades-old NTR house sites.

The regularisation process covers 617 acres of land, with an estimated value of Rs 9,800 crore. Each beneficiary family is expected to receive assets valued at approximately Rs 40–45 lakh. While the land's market value is estimated at around Rs 24,297 crore, the programme focuses on regularising properties built on land originally designated under previous NTR-era house pattas.

The distribution will impact families across eight Assembly constituencies and 15 mandals within the NTR and Krishna districts, including Vijayawada East, West, and Central, as well as Gannavaram, Jaggayyapeta, Mylavaram, Nandigama, and Tiruvuru. This follows a similar programme in Visakhapatnam, where regularisation was provided to over 28,000 families.
