Chanel introduces Maxi Flap Bag by Matthieu Blazy

Chanel creative director Matthieu Blazy has introduced the Maxi Flap Bag as part of the brand's Spring/Summer 2026 collection. The design expands the proportions of one of the maison's most recognizable icons while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic.

To avoid excessive visual and physical weight, Blazy opted for a cleaner look by removing the traditional chain strap and replacing it with thin leather strips. The design relies on the iconic CC clasp and the classic Flap silhouette to ensure the piece remains immediately identifiable as a Chanel product.
