Changan Auto expands dealer network in the Philippines and showcases R&D to South African media in China

Changan Automobile, represented in the Philippines by Inchcape Philippines, announced the awarding of five new dealership locations in Davao, General Santos, Butuan, Surigao and San Fernando (Pampanga). The ceremony, held at the brand’s flagship showroom in Pasig, was paired with a sales‑managers training focused on leadership, KPI planning, team development and inventory management, aiming to strengthen Changan’s foothold in the country.

Separately, Changan hosted a delegation of ten South African journalists and dealers at its R&D and intelligent‑manufacturing facilities in China. The visitors toured the No. 2 plant, observed stamping, welding and final‑assembly operations, and visited the technology park, including the SDA Intelligent Laboratory, Global R&D Center and crash‑test laboratory. They also received a presentation on Changan’s hybrid‑technology advances. The tour highlighted the company’s commitment to intelligent manufacturing, safety‑driven engineering and the rollout of new‑energy vehicles for the African market.
