Changan Deepal S05 Ultra Hybrid and Dacia Bigster Hybrid launch in Italy

Changan expanded its Italian lineup with the Deepal S05 Ultra Hybrid, a plug‑in hybrid C‑SUV powered by a 172 kW permanent‑magnet synchronous electric motor and a 1.5‑litre four‑cylinder gasoline engine (63 kW). The combined output reaches 190 kW (258 hp), delivering up to 100 km of electric‑only range and a total range of about 1,060 km. Two trims are offered – Pro (€33,990) and Max (€37,990) – both equipped with Level‑2 driver assistance, a 15.4‑inch touchscreen, OTA updates, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a suite of comfort features such as heated seats and a heated windshield.

Dacia entered the C‑SUV segment with the Bigster Hybrid 155, pairing a 109 hp 1.5 L petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery for a combined 155 hp output. The system operates without external charging, allowing electric‑only driving in urban traffic and contributing to low emissions and fuel consumption. Inside, the vehicle offers a digital instrument cluster, a 10.1‑inch central display, the YouClip storage solution and flexible 40/20/40 rear seats. Both launches highlight the manufacturers’ push to broaden hybrid offerings and attract Italian buyers seeking efficiency, range and modern technology.
