Changan electric vehicles in Indonesia priced for low charging costs

Chinese automaker Changan Indonesia promotes two electric models as cost‑effective mobility options. The compact Lumin can be fully recharged at home for roughly Rp48,000 (about Rp70,000 at a public fast‑charging station) and is claimed to travel up to 301 km on a single charge, consuming about 10.75 km per kWh. The larger Deepal S07 SUV offers a range of up to 560 km, with energy consumption of 7.04 km per kWh; a full charge costs around Rp136,000 at home or Rp200,000 at a fast‑charging station. Both vehicles feature extensive after‑sales support, including eight‑year battery warranties and six‑year vehicle warranties, with complimentary service for the first six months (Lumin) or five years (S07). CEO Setiawan Surya said the models provide “practical and economical solutions for long‑term mobility.” Additional advantages cited include lower maintenance needs compared with internal‑combustion cars and exemption from Jakarta’s odd‑even traffic restrictions.
