Changan expands Deepal brand with new electric and hybrid SUVs

Changan Automobile is expanding its Deepal brand lineup with several new electric and hybrid SUV models across international markets.

In Greece, the company has launched the DEEPAL S07 PRO, a fully electric D-SUV featuring LFP battery technology, a 200kW motor, and a 500km WLTP range. The model includes Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) suspension and a specialized SNOW mode.

In Indonesia, the Deepal S05 has been introduced, offering both Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) options. The S05 features a design that won the 2025 Germany iF Design Award and includes premium interior features like Royal Comfort Seats.

In Slovenia, the Deepal S05 is also being marketed as a plug-in hybrid, combining a 172 kW electric motor with a 1.5-liter petrol engine to achieve a total range exceeding 1,000 km.

Additionally, patent images for the upcoming Deepal S09 have surfaced in China. This large SUV is expected to utilize an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrain and provide seating for six occupants.
