Changan Deepal S05 plug-in hybrid SUV rolls out in Europe and Indonesia
Changan introduced its Deepal S05 plug‑in hybrid SUV, a C‑segment crossover powered by a 1.5 L gasoline engine and an 18.4 kWh battery delivering up to 258 hp (190 kW) and 300 Nm of torque. The vehicle offers up to 100 km of pure electric range (WLTP) and a combined WLTP range of 1,060 km, with fuel consumption of 2.0 l/100 km and CO₂ emissions of 47 g/km. Fast charging up to 55 kW DC (30 %–80 % in about 15 min) and AC up to 11 kW are supported, and the system includes Vehicle‑to‑Load capability. Pricing starts at €31,990 in Greece, with a seven‑year/160,000 km warranty and an eight‑year/200,000 km battery guarantee.
A media‑test drive in Indonesia covered the Bandung‑Linggarjati‑Cirebon‑Jakarta corridor, confirming the S05’s performance on city, mountain and highway roads and highlighting features such as 360° cameras, driver‑monitoring alerts and advanced ADAS (level‑2). The model was also unveiled in Barcelona, where the Ultra‑Hybrid technology debut targets the European market, with deliveries planned for late July and a price of €24,933 for the base Pro trim. Both the Max and Ultra trims add premium interior appointments, an optional panoramic glass roof and a towing capacity of up to 1,600 kg.
