Changan updates Deepal S07 electric SUV

Changan has updated its Deepal S07 electric SUV, introducing significant improvements to its battery technology, charging speed, and performance. The vehicle now features a 78 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) high-voltage battery, providing a range of up to 500 kilometers.

Charging capabilities have been substantially enhanced, with DC fast charging speeds increasing to 200 kW. This allows the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes, doubling the speed of the previous model. The AC charging rate remains at 11 kW.

Mechanical upgrades include a more powerful permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that delivers 258 hp, a nearly 20% increase in power. Despite the higher output, energy consumption has decreased to 17.6 kWh/100 km (WLTP combined). The Deepal S07 Max can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds with a top speed of 185 km/h. Aesthetic updates include redesigned wheels, new lighting graphics, and body-colored side skirts and front spoilers.
