Changhua County Magistrate candidates complete election registration

Candidates for the Changhua County Magistrate election have begun the formal registration process. Chen Su-yueh, representing the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), completed her registration alongside more than 20 DPP county council candidates. Her campaign platform, titled ‘Unity for Victory, Accelerating Changhua,’ focuses on six key areas: youth retention, agricultural innovation, long-term care, childcare, education, and livability. Chen aims to secure central government funding for major infrastructure projects, including railway elevation and mass transit expansion.

Chiu Chien-fu, running as an independent candidate, also completed his registration. During his announcement, Chiu used two parrot dolls as props to criticize the major party candidates, suggesting they merely mimic each other's policies. Chiu has issued a challenge to the DPP and Kuomintang candidates to engage in a public policy debate to allow voters to evaluate their actual capabilities and execution plans.
