Changhua County Launches Civil Servants Table Tennis Cup

The 115th Changhua County Mayor’s Cup for civil servants began on 30 May at the county’s sports arena. County mayor Wang Huimei and officials opened the event, presented certificates and added prize vouchers to encourage participation.

The competition features 46 teams and more than 600 public‑service workers from county agencies, state‑run enterprises, the county council, schools and local offices. Organisers promote table tennis as an indoor sport that anyone can play, urging staff to adopt regular exercise to improve health and work efficiency, especially as the population ages. The mayor highlighted the goal of fostering a healthier, more active community for both current and retired employees.

The tournament, run by the Changhua County Sports Association Table‑Tennis Committee, aims to strengthen team spirit and public‑service performance through sport.
