In late July 2026, Changhua County intensified its grassroots sports agenda. The county government opened the fourth Half‑Line Cup baseball championship on July 25, featuring 32 teams and roughly 570 youth players, and followed with the second Guashan Cup football tournament through July 27, involving 35 teams and 477 participants. County Magistrate Wang Hui‑mei announced a NT$20.07 million investment to upgrade football facilities, underscoring a commitment to youth talent development.

The county’s indoor sports push continued with the 115th County‑Mayor Cup table‑tennis competition for public‑service workers. Though the event officially opened on July 30, it had begun on May 30 at the county’s sports arena, where Wang and officials presented certificates and added prize vouchers to spur participation. The tournament, organized by the Changhua County Sports Association Table‑Tennis Committee, drew 46 teams and more than 600 civil servants, retirees and staff from agencies, state‑run enterprises, the county council, schools and local offices.
