Chania Mayor meets with architects to discuss urban planning

The Mayor of Chania, Panagiotis Simanidrakis, held an extensive working meeting with the Board of Directors of the Architects Association of Chania Prefecture at the Chania Town Hall. The discussion focused on ongoing large-scale technical and urban planning issues within the municipality, as well as the overall design for public spaces and the city's upcoming development period.

Mayor Simanidrakis emphasized the importance of steady cooperation between the municipality and the city's scientific and professional bodies. He noted that meaningful institutional dialogue and consultation are critical for the progress of major interventions in Chania. He stated that while total agreement on every individual issue is not a prerequisite for dialogue, the ability for different approaches to meet within a shared framework of responsibility allows for consensus and project advancement.
