Chania: Woman arrested for online cannabis distribution business

Police in Chania, Crete, have arrested a 48-year-old woman for the illegal possession, sale, and distribution of cannabis products. The suspect, who operated a sole proprietorship for cannabis commerce, allegedly used a dedicated website to take orders and utilized well-known delivery companies and online delivery platforms to distribute illegal products beyond her declared commercial activities.

During a search of her residence in the Agia Marina area, authorities seized 6,426 grams of dried cannabis flower, 147.5 grams of processed cannabis, 548 handmade cannabis-tobacco cigarettes, and various commercial packaging materials, including labels and weighing equipment.

In separate incidents across Crete, police in Heraklion arrested four minors for physical assault and insults against a peer, while four guardians face charges for neglect of supervision. Additionally, three individuals, including minors, were arrested in Ierapetra for the trafficking of small quantities of cannabis.
