Chapecó International Autodrome Opens with R$150 million Investment to Host Formula 4 and Stock Car

Brazil's Santa Catarina state is set to host one of its most modern racing venues as the Autódromo Internacional de Chapecó, officially named after Márcio Vaccaro, moves into its final construction phase. The circuit, the first fully asphalt track in the state, carries an estimated cost of R$150 million, with R$120 million already secured through a mix of public and private funding.

Designed to meet the strict standards of the Confederação Brasileira de Automobilismo (CBA) and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the 4,004‑metre layout features 12 curves and a main straight of 837 metres – among the longest in Brazil. The track surface uses Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA), a high‑performance material also employed on leading international circuits. With a capacity for 30,000 spectators, the venue will host Formula 4 Brazil, Stock Car, Copa Truck, and various motorcycling championships, positioning Chapecó on the national and international motorsport calendar.
