Chapecó International Autodrome development

Overview

The construction of the Autódromo Internacional Márcio Vaccaro in Chapecó, Santa Catarina, has progressed from its final development phase to an official public unveiling. Initially reported as a R$150 million project with R$120 million in secured funding, the circuit is designed to meet FIA and CBA standards using high-performance Stone Mastic Asphalt.

Following its official presentation during the municipality’s 109th anniversary celebrations, the venue has begun securing its place on motorsport calendars. The unveiling event featured demonstration runs from various categories, including Copa Truck, Porsche Cup, HB20, and Turismo Nacional, with drivers such as Felipinho Tozzo participating in track activities.

NASCAR Brasil has confirmed the track will host the eighth stage of its season from October 30 to November 1, marking the beginning of the playoff phase with three scheduled races. Additionally, the Marcas Brasil Racing (MBR) category is set to hold a three-hour endurance race in December, which is expected to feature over 90 drivers to close out the 2026 season.

The 4-kilometer facility includes 35 pits, a control tower, a helipad, and a spectator capacity of up to 30,000. Future plans for the venue include hosting categories such as Stock Car and Formula 4.
