Char Dham Yatra attracts 4.8 million pilgrims in 125 days

The Char Dham Yatra has seen over 4.8 million pilgrims in the first 125 days of the current season, according to the Uttarakhand government. This figure represents an increase of 522,634 devotees compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, the Yamunotri pilgrimage has reached a new record with more than 668,000 devotees, surpassing the 644,637 visitors recorded in 2025.

Despite challenging monsoon conditions, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the pilgrimage is continuing smoothly. The government has prioritized pilgrim safety, with District Magistrates monitoring arrangements and Disaster Management Departments in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, and Uttarkashi remaining on constant alert. Authorities are regulating the yatra during periods of deteriorating weather and have issued special advisories to ensure the convenience and security of devotees.
