Charitable groups feed Qur'an course students in Sarigöl, Manisa
In the Bereketli Mahallesi of Sarigöl district, Manisa Province, volunteers have maintained a tradition of providing daily breakfast and assorted food items to the 35 children enrolled in the summer Qur'an course. Each day a different donor prepares meals such as toast, ayran, pide, home‑cooked dishes and even ice‑cream, adjusting the quantity to the number of participants and their own budget.
Imam Hatibi Ali Arslan of the local mosque praised the initiative, saying it reinforces unity, brotherhood and sharing in the neighbourhood. The ongoing support not only ensures the children are fed but also strengthens communal bonds and motivates the students to continue attending the course.
The practice, reported by several local outlets, highlights a long‑standing example of grassroots solidarity in a Turkish rural community.
