Charitable organizations distribute school supplies in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic
Various charitable initiatives have provided essential school supplies to students in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic to support the upcoming academic year.
In Puerto Rico, Liberty and the Liberty Foundation distributed 5,557 school supplies through their ‘Contigo de regreso a clases’ campaign. The materials were donated to five non-profit organizations, including Casa Familiar Virgilio Dávila, Centro ESPIBI, Centros Sor Isolina Ferré, Proyecto PECES, and Niños de Nueva Esperanza. Additionally, employees visited Hogares Teresa Toda in Loíza to provide clothing and school materials to 18 residents.
In San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, the Fundación Yholi conducted a community event in the Cristo Rey sector. The foundation distributed kits containing notebooks, backpacks, and didactic materials to dozens of children to help alleviate the economic burden on families and reduce academic dropout rates in vulnerable areas of the Duarte province.
