Charitable organizations in Croatia provide school supplies to hundreds of students

Various charitable organizations in Croatia have launched initiatives to provide school supplies to hundreds of students ahead of the new academic year.

Caritas Požeška biskupija implemented the “Ruksak pun dobrote” (Backpack Full of Kindness) project, which provided school kits to 400 primary school students within the Požega Diocese. The project, valued at 15,000 euros, included backpacks, notebooks, stationery, and art supplies to help mitigate material deprivation and social exclusion. The initiative was co-financed through Croatian Caritas via the state budget.

Separately, the association Udruga Mali zmaj organized the “Mali zmaj ide u školu” (Little Dragon Goes to School) program, providing equipment to 381 children, including preschoolers, primary, and high school students. This initiative, valued at approximately 47,804 euros, supported children from low-income families and residential homes. Donors included Humanity First, Wiener osiguranje, Google, and various local volunteers and institutions.
