Charity initiatives launched for Kumamoto earthquake relief

Various organizations in Japan are launching charity initiatives to support recovery efforts following the 2026 Kumamoto earthquake.

The Japan Actors Union has announced the 10th Kanden-sai Special Streaming Charity Event, scheduled for November 15, 2026. This digital event will be broadcast on the union's official YouTube channel and features a lineup of voice actors and performers. Donations collected through bank transfers and postal mail will be distributed to disaster relief headquarters in Kumamoto, Ishikawa, Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefectures.

Additionally, Chiryo-in Keiei Lab will host a charity seminar on August 30, 2026, in the Osaka area. The organization has committed to covering all operational expenses, ensuring that 100% of the tuition fees collected from participants are donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society for the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake Relief Fund.
