Charity initiatives provide toys for pediatric hospital patients in Italy
Various charitable efforts are providing toys and games to children hospitalized in Italian pediatric wards to improve their hospital experience.
In Città di Castello, the Maestro Giocattoli store participated in the national ‘Giocattolo sospeso’ initiative. Customers purchased toys to be donated to the pediatric department of the Alto Tevere hospital. An anonymous local association also contributed toys to enrich the department's waiting room play area. The donation was received by hospital director Gioia Calagreti and pediatric director Guido Pennoni.
In Grosseto, the group ToscanaBricks donated 70 Lego boxes and additional brick sets to the pediatric ward at Misericordia hospital. This initiative, supported by the English association Fairy Bricks, aims to provide creative distraction for young patients. Susanna Falorni, director of Neonatology and Pediatrics, noted that play serves as a precious tool in the healing process for hospitalized children.
