Charity organizations launch toy donation campaigns for children

Multiple charitable initiatives have been launched to collect toys and sweets for children in need during the upcoming holiday season.

In Los Mochis, Mexico, the Perla Ramos Foundation has started a campaign running through December 22. Director General José Ramos Ortiz stated the goal is to collect at least 500 toys, specifically requesting items that do not require batteries or resemble weapons. The foundation has established 50 collection centers across various businesses and institutions in the city to facilitate donations.

In Durango, Mexico, Cáritas del Guadiana, C.A.S.A., and several local collaborators have launched the La Posadita 2026 campaign. The initiative aims to provide joy to 1,300 children by collecting new or used toys in good condition, as well as sweets. Organizers are requesting that donations exclude battery-operated or weapon-themed items and are encouraging families to donate toys their children no longer use.
