Charity running events held in Vietnam support community causes
Two major charity running events recently took place in Vietnam, focusing on community support and health.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the inaugural FV RUN 2026, organized by FV Hospital, the Nâng bước tuổi thơ Charity Fund, and Nexus Sport Events, attracted 3,300 participants. The event donated 1 billion VND, representing 100% of ticket revenue, to the Nâng bước tuổi thơ Charity Fund to assist with surgical and medical costs for underprivileged children. The race included nearly 200 international athletes from countries including South Korea, China, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Taiwan.
In Hai Phong, the Nomura Samurai Run Fest 2026, organized by Nomura Real Estate Vietnam, concluded at Vinhomes Royal Island. Approximately 2,000 athletes participated in distances ranging from 2 km to 21 km. The event, themed “Miles to Smiles,” aimed to connect the community through sports and charitable spirit.
