Charles Leclerc to face Hikaru Nakamura in chess-inspired challenge

Formula One driver Charles Leclerc will compete against chess grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura in a bespoke strategy game called SE!ZE on 1 September. The event, held at the Chivas Regal Arena of Mastery, is part of a partnership between Leclerc and Chivas Regal to celebrate the launch of Chivas Regal 16.

Leclerc co-created the chess-inspired game SE!ZE, which also serves as a play on the French word for 16. The new whisky, Chivas Regal 16, was developed in collaboration with Master Blender Sandy Hyslop and features a blend of 16 whiskies aged for at least 16 years, anchored by a sherry-cask-matured Longmorn single malt. The number 16 reflects Leclerc’s racing number and the age of the whisky.

The challenge will be livestreamed on Chivas Regal’s YouTube channel starting at 16:50 BST, allowing viewers to submit questions to both Leclerc and Nakamura.
