Charter and Optimum restore regional news carriage pact

Charter Communications and Optimum have entered into new agreements to restore regional news carriage and expand advertising collaboration. Under the pact, Spectrum News NY1 will return to Optimum TV customers, and News 12 will return to Spectrum TV customers across the New York metropolitan area starting in September.

The deal also extends Spectrum News distribution to Optimum TV customers in Texas and North Carolina. Additionally, a separate agreement establishes that Spectrum Reach will provide advertising sales representation for Optimum's West markets, covering approximately 30 Designated Market Areas across the central, southern, and western United States.
