Chase to reduce Hyatt point transfer ratio for select cards

Chase Ultimate Rewards Hyatt transfer ratio credit card devaluation Chase Sapphire Preferred Ink Business Preferred

Chase is implementing changes to the point transfer ratio between Ultimate Rewards and World of Hyatt. For holders of the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred cards, the current 1:1 transfer ratio will end on September 30.

Starting October 1, the transfer ratio for these specific cards will decrease to a 4:3 ratio (or 1,000 points to 750 Hyatt points).

Cardholders of ultra-premium products, such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business, or JPMorgan Reserve cards, will maintain the 1:1 transfer parity. Users with these premium cards can also transfer points to a spouse or resident at their address to facilitate 1:1 transfers to Hyatt.
