Checo Pérez prepares for 300th Grand Prix in Mexico City
Formula 1 driver Checo Pérez is preparing for his return to the Mexico City Grand Prix, an event that will mark his 300th career start if the race proceeds as planned.
Pérez acknowledged that his upcoming appearance will feel different to fans compared to his previous years with Red Bull, where he frequently competed for podiums and victories. Now driving for Cadillac, he noted that securing points may be more challenging. Despite the shift in competitive expectations, Pérez expressed gratitude for the continued support of Mexican fans, stating, “It is difficult to digest for a fan because they want to see me win and in the fight... Now it is a different story, but they understand it completely.”
The driver highlighted that he faces a busy period with consecutive important races in the United States and Mexico.
