Chelsea and Arsenal target Premier League defenders in summer transfer market

Chelsea are exploring options to sell defender Trevoh Chalobah, valued at around €40 million, after reporting a pre‑tax loss of €306 million for the year to June 2025. Italian clubs Inter and Como have shown interest, while the Blues also consider signing France international Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace.

Arsenal are monitoring England centre‑back Ezri Konsa and midfielder Morgan Rogers of Aston Villa. Villa value Konsa at €70 million, and reports suggest Arsenal would need to meet a British record fee of €152 million to acquire Rogers. Both clubs see the players as key to strengthening their squads ahead of the upcoming season.
