Chelsea targets Alex Scott following Enzo Fernandez move to Manchester City

Chelsea FC is pursuing a major transfer for AFC Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott following the departure of Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City. Manchester City is reportedly accelerating efforts to finalize the signing of Fernandez to bolster their midfield after the departure of Rodri to FC Barcelona.

To secure Scott, Chelsea is considering a deal valued at approximately 90 million euros. One proposed strategy involves reaching an agreement immediately but allowing the 23-year-old English midfielder to remain at Bournemouth until the end of the current season. This approach is intended to preempt competition from other Premier League clubs. Chelsea aims to reinvest funds generated from the Fernandez sale to meet Bournemouth's valuation for the player.
