Cheonan to host 2026 K-DOG FESTIVAL to promote pet culture

Cheonan City and Yonam Institute of Technology will co-host the 4th annual ‘2026 K-DOG FESTIVAL’ at the Cheonan Citizens' Sports Park on October 31 and November 1. Under the slogan ‘2026 K-DOG CONNECT’, the event aims to promote mature pet culture and revitalize the local pet industry.

Key programs include dog sports competitions such as agility and flyball, a ‘Dog Olympics’, and a ‘Dangdang Hike’ walking event. The festival will also feature an AI-driven pet behavior counseling center, where owners can receive customized reports based on video analysis of their dogs' movements.

Other activities include a pet fair with 35 booths, a special talk concert featuring veterinarian Seol Chae-hyun, and various experiential programs like a kids' pet medical academy and making pet snacks. Pre-registration for major programs is available through the official festival website until October 23.
