Cheongyang to host 27th Chili and Goji Berry Festival

The 27th Cheongyang Chili and Goji Berry Festival is scheduled to take place from the 11th to the 13th at Baekse Health Park in Cheongyang-eup. The event focuses on promoting the region's signature agricultural products, chili peppers and goji berries, through various food, experience, and performance programs.

Key highlights include a cooking show by Chef Yeo Kyung-rae, a high school culinary survival competition, and family-oriented activities such as a ‘Catch! Teenieping’ sing-along show and a kids' zone. Evening entertainment will feature performances by artists including Song Ga-in, Park Ji-hyun, Park Hyun-bin, and Solji, alongside laser and fireworks displays.

In conjunction with the festival, Cheongyang County will host an awards ceremony to honor the ‘2026 Cheongyang Chili and Goji Berry Kings.’ Following a rigorous evaluation of cultivation scale, growth status, and quality, top producers such as Choi Yu-seon (Chili King) and Na Woo-chan (Goji Berry King) were selected. To encourage high-quality production, the county has introduced prize money for top winners and will display portraits of the award-winning farmers at the Welcome Center to promote their products to visitors.
