Chery International to launch iCAUR brand in the UK

Chery International is preparing to launch its iCAUR brand in the United Kingdom, expanding its British presence to five distinct marques. The brand is expected to debut in early 2027, following the market entries of Omoda, Jaecoo, Chery, and Lepas.

The flagship model for the UK launch will be the V27, a five-seat SUV characterized by boxy, upright styling and off-road capabilities. The vehicle features an electrified powertrain and has received recognition at the 2026 Torino Automotive Design Awards for its interior design. To ensure the vehicle is optimized for British roads, Chery plans to utilize its new Research and Development Centre of Excellence at UTAC Millbrook in Bedfordshire.

While the iCAUR brand is known as ‘iCAR’ in China, the name was changed for overseas markets to avoid potential trademark conflicts. The V27 is expected to offer advanced electrified options, potentially including range-extender plug-in hybrid technology.
