Chester, New Jersey homicide probe continues into death of Brooke Hanlon

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office is continuing a homicide investigation into the death of Brooke Hanlon, a 35-year-old therapist who was found stabbed to death in her Chester, New Jersey, home on June 6.

Neighbors report that Conor Hanlon, the victim's 36-year-old husband, has been making weekly visits to the residence, typically staying from Thursday into Friday. During these visits, he has been observed performing yard work, though neighbors noted his vehicle is not parked in the driveway overnight.

Conor Hanlon has not been charged with any crime or accused of wrongdoing. In a public statement, he denied any involvement in his wife's death, stating, “My heart is totally shattered.” Authorities have released a 911 call from the day of the incident, which captures his distress, but no suspects or persons of interest have been named in the case.
