Brooke Hanlon homicide investigation

Overview

The investigation into the death of Brooke Hanlon, a 35-year-old psychotherapist found stabbed to death in her Chester, New Jersey, home on June 6, remains ongoing. The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office determined the cause of death to be “multiple sharp force injuries.”

Following the discovery of the victim by her husband, James “Conor” Hanlon, the family issued a statement expressing “full and unwavering confidence” in law enforcement. While authorities released a 911 call capturing Conor Hanlon’s distress during the incident, he has not been charged with any crime or accused of wrongdoing. In a public statement, he denied involvement, saying, “My heart is totally shattered.”

As of late August, no suspects or persons of interest have been named in the case. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that may assist investigators.
