Chevrolet begins production of Corvette Grand Sport X

Production has officially commenced for the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport X at the Bowling Green assembly plant in Kentucky. The first customer vehicles began rolling off the production line on August 17.

Scheduled to replace the E-Ray in the Corvette lineup for the 2027 model year, the Grand Sport X features a self-charging hybrid powertrain. This system combines a new 6.7-liter LS6 small-block engine, producing 535 naturally aspirated horsepower, with a front-mounted electric drive unit. The all-wheel-drive configuration generates a combined output of 721 hp and 900 Nm of torque.

Visually, the model utilizes the widened stance of the C8 Z06. Pricing for the Grand Sport X coupe starts at $109,700, while the convertible version is priced at $116,700.
