In performance testing, the Grand Sport has demonstrated strong capabilities. In a MotorTrend lateral acceleration test, the model outperformed other C8 variants. Utilizing the high-compression LS6 V8 engine—which produces 535 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque—the vehicle achieved a 0-60 mph time of 2.7 seconds and a 60-to-0 mph braking distance of 98 feet, aided by Brembo ceramic brakes.

As the brand evolves toward more expensive and electrified models like the Grand Sport X and the outgoing E-Ray, the secondary market for older generations is expanding. While current mid-engined C8 models can exceed $227,500, older generations such as the C4 (1984–1996) are increasingly available on the used market for under $10,000.
