Chevrolet Corvette 2027 receives service bulletin for LS6 engine oil leak
General Motors has issued a service bulletin regarding potential oil leaks in the new 6.7-liter LS6 V8 engine used in the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Grand Sport, and Grand Sport X models. The engine, which produces 535 horsepower and 704 Nm of torque, is the subject of the bulletin (PIP6132).
The leak typically occurs between the oil pan and the oil cooler adapter, sometimes accompanied by bubbling while the engine is running. To resolve the issue, technicians are instructed to replace two high-pressure port seals on the oil pan and ensure the four oil cooler adapter mounting bolts are tightened evenly and in the correct sequence.
This notice is a service bulletin rather than a formal recall. GM indicates that not all engines are affected, and the repair is expected to be a relatively straightforward procedure for certified technicians.
