Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport X replaces E-Ray model

The Chevrolet Corvette lineup is undergoing a shift with the introduction of the Grand Sport X, which is positioned to replace the E-Ray. The Grand Sport X features an upgraded hybrid system utilizing components from the ZR1X, including an electric front motor that provides up to 186 hp. Combined with the new LS6 6.7-liter Small Block V-8, the system produces a total of 721 horsepower, a 66 hp increase over the E-Ray.

This performance evolution is impacting the resale market for the outgoing E-Ray models. Recent transactions show used E-Rays are seeing declining valuations, with some selling in the mid-$90,000 range and expectations that they may eventually reach the $80,000 to $90,000 bracket. The Grand Sport X also features chassis tuning designed to provide a more aggressive driving character compared to the GT-like feel of the E-Ray.
