Chevrolet unveils Corvette ZR1X hybrid supercar

Chevrolet has introduced the Corvette ZR1X, a high-performance hybrid model that combines traditional internal combustion with electric technology. The vehicle features a 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine producing 1,079 horsepower, paired with a 189-horsepower electric motor located on the front axle.

This configuration results in a total system output of 1,267 horsepower. The ZR1X builds upon the hybrid experimentation seen in the Corvette E-Ray, aiming to compete with elite European manufacturers by integrating an electric front axle into the high-performance chassis.
