Chhattisgarh appoints female IAS officers as collectors in 12 districts

The Chhattisgarh government has implemented a major administrative reshuffle, appointing female IAS officers to lead 12 of the state's 33 districts. This move is part of a broader effort to promote women's leadership and empowerment within the state's administrative framework.

Key appointments include Jayashree Jain as Collector of Sakti, Tulika Prajapati as Collector of Kabirdham, and Tanuja Salam as Collector of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki. Other female collectors include Chandan Sanjay Tripathi (Balrampur-Ramanujganj), Santan Devi Jangde (Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur), Roktima Yadav (Koriya), Nupur Rashi Panna (Kondagaon), Pratishtha Mamgai (Bemetara), Namrata Jain (Narayanpur), Padmini Bhoi Sahu (Sarangarh-Bilaigarh), Divya Mishra (Balod), and Rena Jamil (Surajpur).

According to Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, female officers are noted for their sensitivity and efficiency in administrative roles. The state's total female representation across panchayats, urban bodies, and the legislature has reached approximately 54.78 percent.
