Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has released the 30th installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana ahead of the Raksha Bandhan festival. To date, a total of more than 19,444.33 crore rupees has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible women in the state.

Under the guidance of Minister for Women and Child Development Lakshmi Rajwade, the scheme provides monthly assistance of 1,000 rupees via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The funds are intended to support women's self-reliance and financial independence. Beneficiaries have reported using the funds for household necessities, children's education, and nutritious food, with some even using savings from the scheme to establish small self-employment ventures.
