Chiapas Governor advances major infrastructure and welfare projects
Chiapas Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar has conducted a series of working tours to promote infrastructure and social welfare projects across the state. In the Mezcalapa region, specifically in Ocotepec and Tecpatán, the administration inaugurated paving projects and electrical grid improvements with a combined investment exceeding 84 million pesos.
Additionally, the Governor supervised progress on the Palenque-Ocosingo highway, known as the ‘Ruta de las Culturas Mayas’. This 165-kilometer infrastructure project includes 73 major structures, such as tunnels, viaducts, and wildlife crossings. The project aims to boost connectivity, tourism, and economic productivity in the region. Ramírez acknowledged the support of Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo in advancing this initiative.
Beyond infrastructure, the Governor also launched reinforced public health actions to prevent and combat dengue and other arboviruses throughout the state.
