On July 29, the administration opened a rehabilitated basketball court in the San José Terán neighbourhood of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, with former NBA player Eduardo Nájera attending. The same event marked the start of the “Autoempleo que Transforma” initiative, a joint effort of the state secretariats of Humanism and Economy and Labour, which will provide economic aid, training, equipment and social security to 200 beneficiaries—predominantly women—in trades such as tailoring, electricity, pastry and snack production.

Together, these actions extend the programme’s reach beyond 200 million pesos, reinforcing road quality, water access, public‑health, recreation, and entrepreneurship for historically underserved communities while maintaining a focus on environmental protection and gender‑focused services.
